Here is the Google Sheet (and .csv) that I used for my map.
My decision was to make polygons with color for the buildings, which will emphasize the locations. I think the potential of web mapping for DH work in general is to show locations where things occur. From a bird’s eye view, it’s often hard to find buildings, so having the ability to locate them and show them in a easy-to-view manner can be a huge benefit for everyone. I think the capabilities of the ArcGIS online platform is good to visualize things that you want to show on the map. But I personally find ArcGIS is initially hard to use. Its user interface was very confusing because it’s hard to locate where the tools were (and they don’t even have a help button). But after some time, and a lot of clicking, I got used to it.

I like how the locations are easy to see and how you chose to display the information. I agree that having the ability to locate and view buildings/locations in an easy manner can be a huge benefit. I also had a bit of trouble with ArcGIS initially.
I am actually unable to see your map; I am getting a message saying I do not have access to the resource even after signing in. I suspect this is an issue on my part. Regardless, based on the text portion of your post, changing the color of the buildings you want to highlight is an excellent idea and especially useful to those who might not be as familiar with these buildings based on shape and location at a glance.
