Here is our group’s presentation for our final project: Greek History Rebuilt. The project focuses on photographing, modeling, and researching Greek objects housed in the Perlman Teaching Museum’s collections. We used Scaniverse for our final models and have hosted our work on a public facing website.
Team Greek History,
Your project is coming together very well, and it looks like you’ve got most of the pieces in place. A few suggestions to finish it off:
1) Make sure to link back to the Perlman catalog entries for the originals of each item so that readers can find the source and we can properly credit our museum partners.
2) The discussion of methods and particularly failures is limited on the current website. You’ve gone into more detail with illustrations in your slide show and update posts, so a little bit more of this (and especially imagery) in the results or discussion pages would be beneficial.
3) On the modeling side, I’d like to see a little more discussion of the formats concerns for this type of work (raw images for photogrammetry, intermediate models, outputs of different tools (PLY, OBJ, etc.)
