I used Python data analysis and keyword search techniques to summarize the proportions of different materials used in European artworks from 1950 to 1955. Here is the Link.

  1. Thank you for your inspiring project, Harry! I appreciate the creative decision to employ both straightforward categorization and a nuanced keyword-based classification, which reveals hidden layers in the dataset. The interactive visualizations captivate the viewer’s attention, encouraging further exploration of material trends in mid-century art. It is exciting to see a project that not only cleans and analyzes data but also engages deeply with the historical context of artistic media.

  2. I really like the way that you chose to display the data you were able to clean. The interactive bar chart graph is a really eye-catching way to describe the things that you found in the data. I think whenever I look at data that describes the changes overtime I always think about how history is written by the victors and what types of artwork are not reported because they were lost due to some conflicts.
