Members: Sarah Zheng, Lydia Olson, Cynthia Lu
Shared Values
We all share an objective of displaying clean and interactive content in an educational manner. Easy accessibility for all users is something we value and will prioritize while working on this project.
Expectations
We expect everyone to communicate and complete their work on time. In the event that a problem arises, other team members will be expected to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue if possible.
Communication
We will communicate through frequent messages and in person meetings. At the beginning of each week, we will discuss our goals and objectives. During this time we will also delegate tasks.
Handling Disagreements
Everyone pitches their idea, and we try our best to come to a compromise in order to accommodate and include everyone’s ideas.
Delegating Responsibilities
- Cynthia will be responsible for 3D modeling and help with mapping if needed
- Strengths: has prior experience with 3d modeling in fusion, mapping in ArcGIS, and HTML/CSS.
- Weakness: not the best with data manipulation and cleaning.
- Sarah will create a google sheet with information needed for Georeferencing. She will Georeference in ArcGIS Online. She will also be responsible for doing some background research to provide information of the buildings in order to make sure the audience can understand our map in the context of Carleton’s history. She will also add this information to the StoryMap.
- Strength : Have practiced Georeferencing for my midterm project and enjoy researching.
- Weakness: Little experience with HTML and CSS
- Lydia will be responsible for creating the pop ups of locations that include the metadata and possibly a picture if possible. She will also create feature layers (for example outlining where buildings were/routes). She will also help with the StoryMap.
- Strength: In her midterm project she did a great job with her popups. She also has prior experience with WordPress.
- Weakness: This class is her first encounter with all of the technologies.
