Our digital humanities project geographically maps photographs of student life at Carleton from the late nineteenth century to the early twentieth century. Along with the map, we created interactive timelines to explore the chronological order of the photographs under specific themes: Hazing, Homecoming, May Fete, and School Spirit. We sourced our photographs and their metadata from the Carleton Digital Collections and cited the old Carletonian newspapers to contextualize our findings.
