This was a really insightful data visualization. The barrier of entry for women into art was always a hug obstacle to overcome and it’s always amazing to know that there were people that overcame those obstacles. I think it would be really interesting to look at those women who were able to overcome the barrier of entry and also look at the women who were barred from art. This visualization really helps illustrate that barrier of entry that women faced and helps make people aware of that history.

I like when you point out “this raises questions about historical barriers to entry for women in the art world, which could be explored further in a humanities context”, which I think is very important. Overall, great work!
